While shooting the fall color down in southern Colorado this week I had a chance encounter with a creature I've always dreamed of shooting. Sightings of this elusive animal are rare. I felt privileged that it allowed me even a few brief moments to be in its presence. I got off a few fast shots, and turned my head for just a second. When I looked back it had already disappeared back into the forest. It was a good day.
