Hey everyone... Just wanted to give a quick update. I haven't been active on here for the last week or so and will continue to be inactive for the next 2 weeks or so days. I'm out driving all over Colorado capturing the fall color. I spent the last few days in the Aspen area. Color has peaked at the Maroon Bells and a lot of the other areas nearby. Some spots still have a lot of green though. Overall from what I've seen so far, I'd say it's going to continue to be a really good fall season. Most of the trees look healthy, so barring any major wind storms (like last year) everything should be good! Rocky Mountain National Park is kind of a bust right now. It's not the greatest place for fall color, and with all the beetle killed pines around there, a lot of the iconic views have been ruined. The elk rut is off to a slow start but should get good any time now. We got our first snow two nights ago which is always a welcome sight for autumn photography! I'm going to spend a few more days around here and then work my way down to the San Juans, as the trees there peak later in the season.
As always, if you'd like to keep up to date with my adventures
"LIKE" me on Facebook I post updates there often, and usually put up shots from the field when I have cell service.
Hope everyones well!
Nate
So hopefully it gets to -40 for a few weeks this winter, if only to kill them off.
