This is Boreas Pass. In the 1860's it served as a route for prospectors during the Colorado gold rush who crossed from South Park to look for gold. It was eventually widened and turned into a railroad. Today its just a dirt road that holds one of the best kept secrets in Colorado (shhhhh) This was taken around 12,000 ft. Summers are incredibly short up here and flowers like this are visible for just a few short weeks in summer.
