Mesa Arch is a notoriously busy spot at sunrise for photographers, and fall is one of the busier times of the year in this area of utah. With that in mind i got to the trailhead for mesa arch about two hours before sunrise. its a really short hike to the arch and easy to find your way in the dark. I claimed a spot for my tripod and began the wait for sunrise. within 5 minutes a friendly German guy came along and claimed a spot. then it got crazy.. 15 minutes later (and still well before sunrise) there were about 35 other photographers all fighting for a spot. It was like nothing ive ever seen before while taking photos. I was definitely glad i got there early.

I love photographs of this view! It's slightly depressing finding out its such a common favourite though! :{ I've always wanted to visit monument valley! Love all your photos! Especially the ones from Alaska! :}
