A relatively simple action created this abstract image of an aspen tree, not computer trickery. I found this amazing aspen that was green at the bottom and deep red at the top. I started the exposure with my lens zoomed all the way in and pressed the shutter. The exposure was about one half of a second, during which I manually zoomed away from the tree, creating this abstract warp image.

Amazing photo!! I've been trying this technique, but not very successfully. So, when you pressed the shutter, was the tree in focus, or blurred some?
